The origins of the Valeo corporation, initially known as Société Anonyme Française du Ferodo, can be traced back to Saint-Ouen, near Paris. In 1923, Eugène Buisson opened a factory producing brake pads and clutch linings under an English license. After World War II, the rapidly growing company began expanding into new markets, acquiring other businesses and opening branches in Spain and Italy. Its product range soon extended to include heating and cooling systems as well as electrical and electronic components.

In the 1980s, the company adopted the name Valeo, meaning "I am well" in Latin, unifying all production departments under a single brand. Aiming for the highest product quality to ensure customer satisfaction has been the company’s core philosophy. A testament to this strategy's success is that Valeo components are frequently chosen for original equipment in vehicles from many European manufacturers. Additionally, the brand’s extensive range of products is highly popular on the independent aftermarket.

Today, the Valeo Group operates 125 manufacturing plants worldwide, including five in Poland. Valeo offers a wide selection of parts for cooling and air conditioning systems, electrical systems, braking and ignition systems, as well as lighting and wiper systems. The excellent balance of quality and price, coupled with innovative technological solutions, ensures that Valeo products remain highly sought after by customers.
