Yuasa – A Manufacturer with Decades of Experience
Yuasa is an exceptional manufacturer with roots deeply connected to Japan. The company was founded by Hichizaemon Yuasa, whose name it proudly bears. Initially, Yuasa began as a small research laboratory focused on developing rechargeable lead-acid battery technology, a groundbreaking innovation for its time.
The company experienced rapid growth, and investments in advanced technology secured its market position by 1921. From the outset, Yuasa's products were renowned for their durability and reliability, making them a trusted choice for military and naval applications worldwide.
As Yuasa expanded, it extended its product offerings to the automotive sector and established new facilities globally. The company’s international expansion was swift, with its products entering European markets and beyond.
To optimise production costs, Yuasa opened a state-of-the-art factory in the UK. Today, the European branch is highly self-sufficient, with less than 5% of components imported from Japan. This localisation translates into competitive prices for Yuasa products.
Yuasa – A Leader in Maintenance-Free Battery Technology
Maintenance-free batteries are now an industry standard, but this wasn't always the case. Among the pioneers of this technology was Yuasa, introducing the first maintenance-free batteries to the European market. This breakthrough was achieved through continuous investment in advanced technologies and the establishment of a UK-based factory in 1981.
The latest generation of maintenance-free batteries utilises innovative materials based on sulphur and sodium compounds, offering superior performance and reliability.
Yuasa products embody modernity and reliability. A functional battery ensures smooth engine starts and prolongs the lifespan of your vehicle's electrical system. High quality and resilience to adverse weather conditions, especially in winter, are hallmarks of Yuasa batteries.
Choose a reliable battery from a renowned manufacturer to avoid unexpected problems during your vehicle's start-up.
