PURFLUX Air filter PX A1785
Specification
Specification Tecdoc
The air filter is a very important component of the intake system of a car engine. Consisting of a housing and a replaceable filter element, the air filter is placed on the duct that supplies atmospheric air to the intake manifold and then to the engine. Its task is to clean the air necessary for the combustion process occurring in internal combustion engines from impurities such as sand, dust, or soot, thereby reducing engine wear, ensuring a high level of engine power, and suppressing intake air noise.
Over time, the air filter becomes clogged with impurities. Its wear is manifested by increased fuel consumption and a decrease in engine power. Complete clogging of this filter will cause the engine to stall. Moreover, a smaller amount of air does not provide optimal cooling of the intake valves, which accelerates their wear.
It is recommended to replace the filter element on average every 15-20 thousand km, according to the car manufacturer's requirements or more frequently if the vehicle is used in areas with significant air pollution, such as unpaved roads. Due to the risk of impurities entering the intake system, air filter replacement should be entrusted to professionals.
