BFCS 300 - Tester for Measuring Brake Fluid Temperature
ATE BFCS 300 is a professional diagnostic device designed for precise measurement of brake fluid boiling temperature. The tester uses thermal boiling point method, which allows for accurate determination of the boiling temperature regardless of the type of brake fluid.
Brake fluid has hygroscopic properties, which means it absorbs water over time. This causes the boiling temperature to decrease and increases the risk of vapor bubble formation. For this reason, brake fluid should be regularly checked in the workshop and replaced if necessary.
The device allows for the control of all standard glycol-based brake fluids, such as DOT3, DOT4, and DOT 5.1. This supports services in maintaining the highest level of brake system safety.
Measurement Process
For the test, brake fluid is drawn from the reservoir into a disposable sampler using a disposable pipette. Both the pipette and the sampler are available in the ATE test kit.
Then the brake fluid sample is heated in the ATE BFCS 300 device to the boiling temperature. The determined temperature value (up to 300°C) is displayed on the front of the device and can be documented in the form of a printout from an optionally available printer.
The measurement usually takes only about 15-30 seconds.
Functions and Power Supply
The integrated short- and long-term counter records the number of measurements performed. The last 10 results can be recalled using the modern membrane keyboard and printed on an optionally available printer.
The wide power supply range allows operation in the range of 90–250 V, providing great flexibility of use in the workshop.
The ATE BFCS 300 device has a CE marking, confirming compliance with European safety standards.
