Technical brush for universal use in metalworking, including cleaning, deburring, polishing, rust removal, smoothing weld seams and points, slag removal, scale and old paint.

For processing large surfaces, welds, etc.

Twisted / braided steel wire

Maximum rotational speed 8,500 rpm

General use of technical brushes

  • removal of contaminants from processed surfaces, such as corrosion, galvanic deposits,
  • weld scale, old paint, varnish and enamel coatings, etc.
  • removal of burrs and chamfering edges after initial material processing
  • polishing to achieve the desired surface texture.

Specialised use of end / cup brushes

End brushes with a shank, thread or hole, due to the shape of the working part, are used for cleaning large surfaces.
For removing old, thin paint or varnish coatings, brushes with crimped wire are recommended.

These brushes are also excellent for surface preparation before painting.

For removing more troublesome contaminants, such as; weld scale, thick paint layers, corrosion deposits; the use of end brushes with crimped twisted wire is recommended.

Working with technical brushes is safe and optimised if the user adheres to the following recommendations:

  • strict use of protective goggles or face shields,
  • use of protective clothing,
  • strict adherence to the maximum rotational speeds of the brushes; they must not be exceeded,
  • use of tools whose maximum rotational speed does not exceed the maximum rotational speed of the brush,
  • use brushes according to their intended purpose,
  • do not use damaged brushes; rust staining or other signs of chemical or mechanical changes in materials, deformation of the brush component,
  • it is recommended that brushes be stored in such a way as to protect them from the following factors:
    - high humidity,
    - water or other liquids,
    - acids or acid fumes,
    - sufficiently low temperature that may cause condensation on the brush.
  • it is recommended to apply minimal pressure to the processed surface so that the brush works with the wire tips,
  • too much pressure causes rapid tool wear and does not increase efficiency
