Thule UpRide
Universal upright bike rack without frame contact for quick and secure mounting with maximum frame protection
This roof rack does not touch the bike frame and is ideal for transporting carbon fiber bikes. The rack fits all types of bikes, from mountain bikes to fat bikes. The rack is easy to use, and secure loading does not require removing the bike's front wheel. Thule UpRide can be easily attached from either side of the vehicle's roof. Since loading occurs close to the roof level, this rack is easy and convenient to use on any vehicle for people of varying heights. To secure the equipment against theft, the bike rack can be attached to the car, and then the bike to the rack using an integrated cable lock.
- Hook grabs the front wheel without contacting the bike frame
- Fits bikes with carbon frames
- Universal design fits bikes with unconventional frame designs, rear suspension, and bottle holders.
- Easy interface allows moving the holder from one side of the car to the other
- Ratcheting wheel strap quickly secures the wheel to the tray
- Fits bikes with wheel diameters of 20–29” and up to 3" width (up to 5” with the Thule UpRide fat bike adapter, sold separately)
- Maximum bike weight 20 kg.
- Allows locking the bike to the bike rack and the bike rack to the base rack (locks included)
Tested to the limits
At the Thule Test Center™ in Hillerstorp, Sweden, products undergo extreme testing. Our base rack systems are designed to fit your car safely and accommodate your gear. Below are some of the many tests we perform.
- Durability test
Used to assess performance in conditions similar to those that may occur during equipment use in difficult or uneven terrain
- Wear simulations
Specialized tests used to assess the quality of roof racks over time. These tests evaluate the durability and functionality of the equipment in the long term, as well as the effectiveness of bike protection during transport.
- Exposure tests
Used to assess the durability of racks in conditions that may occur during their use. We expose bike racks to extreme temperatures, humidity, sunlight, and chemicals.
